Dear Friend, Being in the aloe business can really be frustrating sometimes! You wouldn't believe the number of calls we get from people who have been "burned" from paying top dollar for products consisting of water, sugar and flavoring! For example, I have a popular brand sitting here on my desk. One of our customers brought it in. The front label clearly says:
When you examine the ingredients you find this product contains about 80% filtered water, xanthan gum (thickener), flavor and preservatives, and some aloe gel. The price . . . $15.98 per quart! What a joke! Our customer's friend thought she was purchasing an aloe concentrate. In reality, she bought a small amount of aloe concentrate which was reconstituted with a lot of water! I told her she could mix a similar potency by adding one quart of TLC's Aloe Concentrate to about 10-12 gallons of water! Her cost? --less than $1.00 per quart! Gee, that even saves enough to throw in some lemon, lime, orange, or cranberry juice for flavoring! All this to say we go to great lengths to give you the best products money can buy. Most people who use our products need assurance that they are getting the "real thing" . . .Their health could depend on it! We've put a lot of time, effort and money into quality assurance. Here's a few things you should look for: 1. If the product is a true concentrate, does it have a pure starting material? If not, they could be concentrating undesirable chemicals into the product. This is why we use organically grown aloe. We don't just say our product is organic-- it's certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture! 2. Are you given a laboratory analysis with every bottle you purchase? Is it a current analysis performed on the actual product contained in the bottle you bought? In other words, the batch number stamped on the bottle should match the one on the lab report. We provide a new laboratory analysis with every batch. Click here for an example, including some notes about the important items. 3. Is the aloe product derived from the whole leaf, or just "gel" or "juice"? The whole leaf juice contains additional components which are extremely beneficial. I hope this information will be useful to you. Please pass it along -- let's hold some of these companies accountable! Healthy regards,
